To switch the appliance on, press the
on/oꢀ switch (5).
•
Insert the hose connector (13) into the
inlet (14) of the appliance.
•
To switch the appliance off, press the
on/oꢀ switch (5).
•
Press firmly until it clicks into place.

Variable power control (fig. D)
•
Press and hold the hose release buttons
(15).
The variable power control allows you to
select the required suction force for job to
be performed.
•
Pull the hose connector (13) out of the
inlet (14) of the appliance.
•
Slide the variable power control (7) left
and right to the requried setting.
Fitting the extension tubes (fig. B)
Select minimum suction power for delicate
materials.
•
Firmly push handle adaptor (3) in to the
one of the extension tubes (2) then
firmly push the additional extention tube
onto the first extention tube.
Select medium suction power for
mattresses, upholstered furniture and
carpets.
Fitting accessories (fig. C)
Select maximum suction power for tiled,
wood and other hard floors.
The crevice tool (10) with flip down detail
brush (11) allows for vacuuming in narrow
and hard-to-reach places.
Vacuuming
The upholstery tool (12) allows for
vacuuming on furniture, blinds, curtains,
windows and stairs.

When operating the appliance, make
sure that the hose is not trapped, twisted
or blocked.

Optimising the suction force

Switch off and unplug the appliance.
In order to keep the suction force
optimised, the filters must be cleared
regularly during use.
Regularly clean the ventilation slots in
your appliance using a soft brush or dry
cloth.
Emptying the dust bowl (fig. E & F)

Regularly clean the motor housing using
a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive or
solvent-based cleaner.

Press the dust bowl release lever (19).
Lift the dust bowl (1) from the appliance.
Hold the dust bowl over a bin.
Cleaning the filters (fig. H, I, J & K)
The Dust bowl may be cleaned with water
by running it under a tap. All other
components should be cleaned with a soft
dry brush or damp cloth.
Press the dust cap release lever (20) and
empty the dust bowl.

Press the dust cap (21) back on until it
clicks into place.
Cleaning the dust bowl filter (fig. H, I & J)

Remove and empty the dust bowl.
Refit the dust bowl by placing the front
end into the appliance then pressing
firmly on the back end until it clicks into
place.
Twist the dust bowl end cap (23) anti
clockwise.

Lift off the dust bowl end cap.
Cord rewind (fig. G)
Twist the dust bowl filter (24) anti
clockwise.

Press and hold the cord rewind button
(8).

Remove the dust bowl filter (24) from
the end cap (23).
Storing the appliance
Warning! When storing the appliance,
switch the appliance oꢀ and unplug it.
Remove the filter cover (25) from the
dust bowl filter (24).

Store the appliance in a dry location. The
appliance can be carried by the handle
(6).
Brush all parts with with a soft brush or
wipe with a damp cloth.
Warning! Ensure all parts are completely
dry before reassembly.

end cap (23) by turning it clockwise.
Place the dust bowl end cap (23) onto
the dust bowl and twist it clockwise to
lock into place.

Refit the dust bowl to the appliance.
Cleaning the exhaust filter (fig. K)

Press the exhaust filter cover release tab
(26) to the right then pull the exhaust
filter cover (27) oꢀ.

Remove the Exhaust filter (28).
Brush all parts with with a soft brush.
Warning! Ensure all parts are completely
dry before reassembly.

Refit the exhaust filter (28) then the
exhaust filter cover (27).
Mains plug replacement
(U.K. & Ireland only)
If a new mains plug needs to be fitted:

Safely dispose of the old plug.
Connect the brown lead to the live
terminal in the new plug.

Connect the blue lead to the neutral
terminal.
Warning! Follow the fitting instructions
supplied with good quality plugs.

bouton Marche/Arrêt (5).

Appuyez sur les boutons de dégagement
du tuyau flexible (15) et en les
maintenant pressés.

bouton Marche/Arrêt (5).

Tirez le raccord du tuyau flexible (13)
hors de l’orifice d’aspiration (14) de
l’appareil.

Le réglage de la puissance vous permet de
sélectionner la force d’aspiration convenant
au nettoyage que vous voulez faire.
Montage des tubes d’extension (fig. B)

Faites glisser (7) la commande de
puissance vers la droite ou vers la
gauche suivant le réglage voulu.

Poussez fermement le manche
adaptateur (3) sur un des tubes
d’extension (2) puis poussez fermement
l’autre tube d’extension dans le premier
tube d’extension.
Sélectionnez la puissance d’aspiration

Rangement de l’appareil
Attention ! Quand vous rangez l’aspirateur,
arrêtez-le et débranchez la prise électrique.
Sélectionnez la puissance d’aspiration
maximum pour les parquets, les carrelages
et autres sols durs.

Rangez l’appareil dans un endroit sec.
Prenez l’appareil par la poignée (6) pour
le porter.
Utilisation de l’aspirateur
Maintenance
•
Quand vous vous servez de l’appareil,
veillez à ce que le tuyau flexible ne soit
pas coincé ni tordu ou bloqué.
Votre aspirateur filaire Black & Decker a été
conçu pour fonctionner pendant longtemps
avec un minimum de maintenance. Un

filtres doivent être régulièrement nettoyés.
Nettoyez régulièrement les ouvertures
d’aération de votre appareil avec une

Appuyez en le maintenant sur le bouton
d’enroulement (8).
