9. Do not use outdoors.This heater is not  
intended for commercial use, such as  
contruction sites.  
IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS  
When using electrical appliances,  
basic precautions should always be  
followed to reduce the risk of fire,  
electric shock and injury to persons,  
including the following:  
1.Avoid touching heater body while it is  
on, some parts of the heater are hot.  
When moving the unit switch off and hold  
heater by the handles where provided.  
10. Do not locate the heater immediately  
below a socket outlet when in use.  
11. Do not use this heater with a  
programmer, timer or any other device  
that switches the heater on automatically,  
since a fire risk may exist if the heater is  
covered or positioned incorrectly.  
2. Keep combustible materials such as  
drapes and other furnishings at least 1.7  
metres from the front, sides and rear of  
the heater. Do not use heater to dry your  
laundry. Do not cover the heater whilst it  
is operating.  
12.This heater is not intended for use in  
wet or moist locations such as bathrooms  
or laundry areas. Do not immerse or  
allow liquids to be spilt on heater.  
13.This heater has hot and arcing or  
sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas  
where petrol, paints, aerosols, or other  
inflammable substances are used or  
stored.  
3. Extreme caution and supervision is  
necessary when this heater is used by or  
near children, invalids or animals.  
4.Young children should be supervised to  
ensure they do not play or operate  
the heater.  
14. Do not operate heater with the cord  
hanked or wound around any part of the  
heater, or in contact with heated surfaces  
of the heater.  
5. Important – this heater is intended for  
floor use only. Do not mount on ceiling  
or walls.  
15. Do not run the power cord under  
carpeting or cover the cord with rugs,  
runners or the like.Arrange cord away  
from traffic areas and where it will not  
be tripped over.  
6. Do not leave heater unattended.  
Always switch off the heater at the  
controls and at the power outlet then  
unplug heater from the power outlet  
when not in use.  
16.To disconnect the heater turn the  
control to OFF then switch off at the  
power outlet then remove plug from its  
outlet.  
7. Do not operate heater whilst asleep.  
8. Do not operate any heater with a  
damaged cord or plug, or if heater has  
been dropped or damaged in any manner.  
Return the heater to your nearest service  
centre for examination, electrical or  
mechanical adjustment or repair.  
17. Do not insert or allow foreign objects  
to pass through the inlet or outlet  
openings, this may cause an electric shock,  
fire or damage the heater.

18.To prevent a possible fire or heat  
damage, allow ample space around the  
heater (at least1.7m at front and 0.5m at  
the rear, top and sides) and do not totally  
or partially block air inlets or outlets in  
any manner. Check the openings from  
time to time for accumulated dust. Ensure  
long shag carpet does not obstruct airflow  
under the unit.  
HOWTO OPERATE  
1. Remove your heater from its carton  
and associated protective wrapping,  
unwind the cord to its full length and  
remove any protective cardboard or foam  
that may have been used to minimise  
transportation damage.  
2. Place the heater on a firm, level surface  
in a stable upright position.  
19. Do not touch hot metal surfaces.  
3.Visually inspect the air inlet and outlets  
to ensure no foreign material is blocking  
these areas.  
20. Switch off at the control switch and  
power outlet, then unplug and allow  
heater to cool down before cleaning  
or storing.  
4. Make certain the selector knob is  
turned to OFF “O” and the temperature  
knob to HIGH (KFH29 and KFH31 only).  
21. Use this heater only as described in  
this instruction manual.Any other use not  
recommended by the manufacturer may  
cause fire, heat damage, electric shock or  
injury and voids all warranties.  
5. Plug the power cord in a 230-240Volt  
power outlet.To avoid an electrical circuit  
overload, it is recommended that no  
other appliances are plugged into the  
same circuit with your heater when you  
switch the unit on.  
22. Regularly inspect the supply cord, plug,  
control settings, air inlets and outlets and  
main housing for any damage. If found  
damaged in any way, immediately cease  
use of the heater and return to  
Kambrook or an authorized service  
agent for inspection.  
6. Control the heater with the selector  
knob and temperature knob, as follows:  
The selector knob has 4 settings:  
O Shuts off both heater and fan  
23.The installation of a residual current  
device (safety switch) is recommended to  
provide additional safety protection when  
using electrical appliances. It is advisable  
that a safety switch with a rated residual  
operating current not exceeding 30mA be  
installed in the electrical circuit. See your  
electrician for professional advice.

For KFH29 and KFH31:The temperature  
knob acts as an automatic thermostat:  
CARE AND MAINTENANCE  
• Always turn off and then unplug the  
heater before cleaning.  
Turn both selector and temperature  
knobs to high  
• Use only a clean, dry cloth to clean the  
external surfaces of the heater only.  
• Once a comfortable room temperature  
has been reached, slowly turn  
temperature knob anti-clockwise until  
you hear a click.  
• If the heater has collected dust or dirt  
inside the unit or around the element,  
have the unit cleaned by a qualified  
service agent. Do not operate the heater  
in this condition.  
• At this setting your heater will  
automatically cycle high and low to  
maintain the desired room temperature  
• Do not attempt to open the case of the  
heater at anytime, there are no  
customer serviceable parts inside.  
• For KFH29 only: Set the Oscillating  
switch to ON, the heater will oscillate  
0
40 to each side.  
• When not in use, pack the heater,  
preferably in its original box for best  
protection, and store in a cool, clean  
and dry location.  
Note:There is a tip over switch on the  
base of the heater.When the heater tips  
over, it will turn off automatically.  
• Under normal operation in a dark  
environment it may be possible to  
see the heating element turn a dull  
red during operation. This is a  
normal operation.  
Overheating Safety device  
Your heater is fitted with a safety device  
that switches off the heater in the event  
of overheating. Should the heater stop  
working, turn the heater off and inspect  
for blockage of air inlet or outlet.Wait at  
least 5 minutes for the protection system  
to reset before attempting to restart the  
heater.  
If the heater fails to operate or the safety  
device switches the heater off again,  
return the heater to your nearest service  
centre for examination or repair.
