the woofer using the 4mm a llen wrenc h.

from the grill using the phillips hea d  
sc rewdriver. Ma ke sure the front of the  
c a binet is fa c ing upwa rds a nd the  
wheels a re fa c ing down.

Woofer #1 replacement continued:  
C a refully begin to remove the woofer. It

ma y be ea sier to sta rt a t the top so the  
weight rema ins rested on the bottom  
until a rm grip of the entire woofer c a n  
be ma de.  
Caution: The woofer is a pproxima tely  
20 pounds with the weight unevenly  
distributed.  
Push down  
This is wha t it looks like with the grill a nd  
woofer removed. Pla c e the new woofer  
(pa rt #0010141) where the old one  
wa s. Follow the sa me steps a s a bove,  
but ba c kwa rds 6 to 1. Power up the  
SWA2801z a nd the new woofer should  
now be pumping out glorious lows.  
Awesome, you just repla c ed a n 18”  
woofer!

The positive (solid blue) a nd nega tive  
(solid bla c k) c a bles a re still a tta c hed to  
the woofer termina ls. Remove the c a bles  
from their termina ls simply by pushing  
down on the termina l a nd pulling out  
the c a ble. The woofer ma y be removed  
from the c a binet enc losure by a ngling it  
to the side ever so slightly.

Amplier Assembly replacement:  
The la st rema ining three sc rews

a re loc a ted on the right side of the  
SWA2801z (holding the bottom of the  
a mplier a ssembly to the c a binet).  
Five sc rews need to be removed from  
the SWA2801z a mplier a ssembly using  
the 5mm a llen wrenc h. Two sc rews a re  
loc a ted on the left side, three on the  
right. See the following pic tures a nd  
further instruc tions. Ma ke sure the wheels  
a re fa c ing upwa rds a nd the front of the  
c a binet is fa c ing down.

c onnec t the c a binet to the a mplier  
a ssembly (a s seen a bove).

It ma y be ea sier to remove the a mplier  
a ssembly by gripping a ridge on ea c h  
side of the a ssembly using a pa ir of pliers.  
Do not c ompletely remove the a mplier  
a ssembly yet, a s some c a bles need to  
be removed rst. Five c a bles need to be  
removed from the a mplier a ssembly:  
(1) led PC B c a ble, (2) solid blue, (3) solid  
bla c k, (4) red a nd bla c k, a nd  
5
(5) solid red. Do not forc e c a ble remova l  
or c onnec tion, a lthough needle-nose  
pliers ma y a id in loosening the c rimped  
c a bles. Notic e their pla c ement in the  
following pic tures, a s well.  
Caution: The a mplier a ssembly is  
a pproxima tely 22 pounds, so plea se  
ma ke sure to gra sp it rmly.

5 to 1. Power up the SWA2801z a nd relish  
in the fa c t tha t you just repla c ed a n  
a mplier a ssembly. Ha ts off to you for a  
job well done!  
Important: The fa ulty a mplier  
a ssembly must be returned to LOUD  
Tec hnologies. The a ddress should  
be on the return shipping la bel tha t  
wa s provided with the new a mplier  
a ssembly. If not, the return a ddress is a t  
the top of this pa ge. Also, plea se write  
the order number a nd servic e request  
number (ex: 1046256-1203935) in big,  
bla c k, bold numbers on the outside of  
the box. This helps expedite the return.
