POLARIZED PLUG (120v Models Only)
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in

GETTING STARTED
• Remove all packing material and any stickers.
• Remove and save literature.

• Wipe cooking surface with a damp cloth or sponge to remove any dust. Wipe
dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.
• Select a location where skillet will be used, leaving enough space between
the back of the appliance and wall to allow heat to flow without damage to
cabinets and walls.

CONDITIONING ThE SKILLET
1. Before using your skillet for the first time, make sure variable temperature
control is removed and wash all parts as instructed in the Care and Cleaning
section.

2. To preserve the nonstick coating, spread a light coating of cooking oil over the
inside surfaces. Remove excess oil with a cloth or paper towel. You will not
have to condition the coating again.

Note: During cooking the light will blink on and off, indicating the temperature is
maintained.

control probe by pressing the quick-release lever and pulling out the control.

Caution: Be careful when removing the probe, as the skillet might stay warm for
awhile.

using metal utensils, be careful not to scrape the nonstick finish.

USING ThE PAN-TILT LEG
The pan-tilt leg raises one side of the skillet so that oils, fats or other liquids move
away from the food while cooking or when serving.
Care and Cleaning
This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified
service personnel.
1. To use, pull the leg straight down so that it stands

under the cool-touch handle (C).
1. Unplug the cord and let skillet cool completely.
2. Make sure the variable temperature control probe is removed.
3. Wash the pan and lid with warm sudsy water. The lid can also be washed in the
dishwasher, top-rack only.
4. If washing by hand, use a sponge or nylon scouring pad with liquid detergent.
Do not use any abrasive cleaners or metal pads as they can damage the
nonstick coating.
Caution, to avoid burns:
• If using for cooking, always tilt the skillet before
you start cooking.
• Tilt lid away while lifting.
• If using for serving, always use a pot holder or
oven mitt.

6. Wipe the outside of the base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or
other liquid.
7. Store the unit in a dry place and wind electric cord into a coil securing it with a
twist fastener.

USO DEL SOPORTE DE INCLINACIÓN
LIMPIEZA
El soporte de inclinación alza el sartén por un costado a fin de alejar el aceite, la
grasa y demás jugos mientras uno prepara los alimentos o antes de servirlos.
1. Desconecte el cable y permita que el aparato se enfríe bien.
2. Asegúrese de retirar el control de temperatura variable.
3. Lave el sartén y la tapa con agua tibia enjabonada. La tapa se puede lavar
también solamente en la bandeja superior de la máquina lavaplatos.
4. Si lava las piezas a mano, utilice una esponja o una almohadilla de nailon
con detergente líquido. No utilice ningún limpiador abrasivo ni almohadillas
de fibras metálicas ya que estas pueden estropear el revestimiento
antiadherente del producto.

para abajo de manera que éste permanezca en
posición vertical debajo del asa (C).
