4. On the rear panel are 3 stereo PHONO/LINE (29, 32, 35)
inputs and 4 stereo LINE (28, 31, 34, 37) inputs. The
PHONO/LINE SWITCH (30) enables you to set the (29)
input to Phono or Line. The PHONO/LINE SWITCH (33)
enables you to set the (32) input to Phono or Line. The
PHONO/LINE SWITCH (36) enables you to set the (35)
input to Phono or Line. The phono inputs will accept only
turntables with a magnetic cartridge. A GROUND SCREW
(38) for you to ground your turntables is located on the rear
panel. The stereo line inputs will accept any line level input
such as a CD player, a cassette player, etc.
INTRODUCTION:
Congratulations on purchasing the Gemini PMX-1100
mixer. This state-of-the-art mixer is backed by a three year
warranty, excluding crossfader and channel slides. Prior to
use, we suggest that you carefully read all the instructions.

CAUTIONS:
1. All operating instructions should be read before using this
equipment.
OPERATION:
1. POWER ON: Once you have made all the equipment
connections to your mixer, press the POWER SWITCH (2).
The power will turn on and the POWER LEDS (17) will glow.
2. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not open the unit.
There are NO USER REPLACEABLE PARTS INSIDE.
Please refer servicing to a qualified service technician.
2. CHANNEL 1: SWITCH # (8) allows you to select the
PHONO 1/LINE 2 (35) or the LINE 1 (37) input. The
CHANNEL SLIDE (9) controls the input level of this
channel.
In the U.S.A., if you have any problems with this unit,
call 1-732-969-9000 for customer service. Do not return
equipment to your dealer.
3. CHANNEL 2: SWITCH # (10) allows you to select the PHONO
2/LINE4(32) or the LINE 3 (34) input. The CHANNEL
SLIDE (11) controls the input level of this channel.
3. Do not expose this unit to direct sunlight or to a heat
source such as a radiator or stove.
4. CHANNEL 3: SWITCH # (12) allows you to select the PHONO
3/LINE6 (29) or the LINE 5 (31) input. The CHANNEL
SLIDE (13) controls the input level of this channel.
4. This unit should be cleaned only with a damp cloth. Avoid
solvents or other cleaning detergents.
5. When moving this equipment, it should be placed in its
original carton and packaging. This will reduce the risk of
damage during transit.
5. CHANNEL 4: SWITCH # (14) allows you to select the LINE 7
(28) orthe MIC2(4) input. The CHANNEL SLIDE (15)
controls the input level of this channel.
6. DO NOT EXPOSE THIS UNIT TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.
6. CROSSFADER SECTION: The CROSSFADER (26) allows
the mixing of one source into another. The left side of the
CROSSFADER (26) is CHANNEL 1 and the right side is
CHANNEL 2. The CROSSFADER (26) in your unit is
removable and if the need arises can be easily replaced.
Your Gemini mixer comes with an RG-45 PRO
7. DO NOT USE ANY SPRAY CLEANER OR LUBRICANT
ON ANY CONTROLS OR SWITCHES.
CONNECTIONS:
1. Before plugging in the 15V AC Adapter (1), make sure that the
POWER (2) switch is in the off position. The POWER LEDS (17)
willbeoff.
(RAILGLIDE™) Dual-Rail Crossfader. RAIL GLIDE™
crossfaders have internal dual stainless steel rails that
allow the slider to ride smoothly and accurately from end
to end. Also available is our CF-45 PRO (PROGLIDE™)
Dual-Rail Crossfader. This unique crossfader features,
state of the art conductive plastic technology, for unlimited
useage. Another crossfader we have available is the PSF-
45 (PRO SCRATCH™) crossfader with a special curve
designed for scratch mixing. Just purchase one from your
Gemini dealer and follow the instructions:
2. The PMX-1100 is supplied with 2 sets of output jacks. The
MASTER OUTPUT (26) jacks are unbalanced and used to
connect to your main amplifier. The REC OUTPUT (27)
jacks can be used to connect the mixer to the record input of
your recorder enabling you to record your mix.
3. The MIC 1 (3) input (found on the front panel) accepts a
XLR connector. The MIC 2 (4) input (found on the rear
panel) accepts 1/4" connectors. All accept balanced
and unbalanced microphones.

7. OUTPUT CONTROL SECTION: The level of the MASTER
OUT (31) is controlled by the MASTER (23) slide. The
Master TREBLE (20) and BASS (21) controls allow you to
adjust the output of channels 1-4.
NOTE: THE RECORD OUT (27) HAS NO LEVEL
CONTROL. THE LEVEL IS SET BY THE CHANNEL
SLIDES OF THE SELECTED CHANNEL.
8. TALKOVER SECTION: The purpose of the talkover section
is to allow the program playing to be muted so that the MIC
can be heard above the music. The MIC 1/TALKOVER
SWITCH (6) controls MIC 1 and has three settings. When
the MIC 1/TALKOVER SWITCH (6) is in the bottom
position, the MIC and talkover are off. When the MIC 1/
TALKOVER SWITCH (6) is in the center position MIC 1 is
on, the MIC 1 INDICATOR (7) will glow, but talkover is off.
When the MIC 1/TALKOVER SWITCH (6) is in the top
position, MIC 1 and talkover will be on and the volume of all
sources except the MIC input are lowered by 16dB. The
MIC LEVEL (16) controls the level of MIC 1.
9. CUE SECTION: By connecting a set of headphones to the
HEADPHONE (5) jack, you can monitor any or all of the
channels. Press the CUE ASSIGN (19) buttons for
channels 1-4 to select the channel or channels to be
monitored and their respective LED indicators will glow.
Use the CUE LEVEL (24) control to adjust the cue volume
without effecting the overall mix. By moving the CUE
PGM PAN (22) control to the left you will be able to monitor
the assigned cue signal. Moving the control to the right will
monitor the PGM (program) output.
10.DISPLAY: The DISPLAY (18) indicates the MASTER
output left and right levels.

VORSICHTSMAßNAHMEN:
1. Vor Anwendung dieses Geräts bitte alle Anweisungen
sorgfältig durchlesen.
5. Kopfhörer können an der an der Vorderwand montierten
Kopfhörer-Buchse HEADPHONE (5) eingesteckt werden.
2. Das Gerät nicht öffnen, um das Risiko elektrischen Schocks
zu vermeiden. Es enthält KEINE VOM ANWENDER
ERSETZBAREN TEILE. Die Wartung darf nur von
befähigten Wartungstechnikern durchgeführt werden.
BEDIENUNG:
1. STROM EIN: Nachdem Sie das Gerät am Mischpult
angeschlossen haben, drücken Sie auf die Taste POWER
(2). Der Strom wird eingeschaltet und die POWER LED (17)
erleuchtet.
Falls Sie in den USA irgendwelche Probleme mit Ihrem
Gerät haben, wenden Sie sich an den Gemini-
Kundendienst unter 1-732-738-9003. Das Gerät bitte nicht
an Ihren Händler zurückschicken.
2. KANAL 1: Schalter # (8) ermöglicht, den Eingang von
PHONO 1/LINE 2 (35) oder LINE 1 (37) auszuwählen.
CHANNEL SLIDE (9) regelt den Ausgangstonsignal dieses
Kanals.
3. Das Gerät von direktem Sonnenlicht oder einer Wärmequelle
wie Heizkörper oder Ofen aussetzen.
4. Dieses Gerät darf nur mit einem feuchten Tuch gesäubert
werden. Keine Lösungs- oder Reinigungsmittel benutzen.
3. KANAL 2: Schalter # (10) ermöglicht, den Eingang von
PHONO 2/LINE 4 (32) oder LINE 3 (34) auszuwählen.
CHANNEL SLIDE (9) regelt den Ausgangstonsignal dieses
Kanals.
5. Bei Umzügen sollte das Gerät in seinem ursprünglichen
Versandkarton und Verpackungsmaterial verpackt werden.
Dadurch verhindert man, daß das Gerät während des
Transportes beschädigt wird.
4. KANAL 3: Schalter # (12) ermöglicht, den Eingang von
PHONO3/LINE6(29)oderLINE5(31) auszuwählen. CHANNEL
SLIDE (13)regelt den Ausgangstonsignal dieses Kanals.

5. KANAL 4: Schalter # (14) ermöglicht, den Eingang von
LINE 7 (28) oder LINE 8 (4) auszuwählen. CHANNEL

6. ÜBERBLENDER-BEREICH: DerCROSSFADER(25)
ermöglicht das Mischen von Tonquellen. Die linke Seite des
CROSSFADER (25) ist Kanal 2 und die rechte ist Kanal 3.
Der CROSSFADER (25) Ihres Geräts kann entfernt werden
und läßt sich bei Bedarf leicht ersetzen. Überblender sind in
drei Größen verfügbar. Der RG-45 PRO (RAIL GLIDETM)
Dual-Rail Crossfader. Die Rail Glide™ Überblender
enthalten innere Schienen aus rostfreiem Stahl, die dem
Benutzer ermöglichen, den Überblender sanft und genau von

7. AUSGANGSREGELUNG: Der Verstärkerausgangspegel
MASTER OUT (31) wird vom Schieberegler MASTER (23)
geregelt. Die Hauptregler für TREBLE (20) und BASS (21)
ermöglichen Ihnen den Ausgang von Kanälen 1-4 zu regeln.
HINWEIS: RECORD OUT (27) ENTHÄLT KEINE
TONSTÄRKENREGELUNG. DIE TONSTÄRKE WIRD
DURCH KANAL-SCHIEBEVORRICHTUNGEN.
8. TALKOVER: Durch die Talkover-Funktion wird das
abgespielte Programm gedämpft, um eine Ansage über das
Mikrophon hören zu können. Der Schalter MIC 1/TALKOVER
(6) kontrolliert MIC 1, und hat drei Einstellungen. Wenn der
Schalter MIC 1/TALKOVER (6) in der unteren Position steht,
sind MIC 1 und Talkover beide ausgeschaltet. Steht der
Schalter MIC 1/TALKOVER (6) in der mittleren Position, ist
MIC 1 eingeschaltet. Der MIC-ANZEIGER (7) ist erleuchtet,
jedoch ist Talkover ausgeschaltet. Wenn der Schalter MIC 1/
TALKOVER (6) in der oberen Position steht, sind MIC 1 und
Talkover eingeschaltet, und Lautstärken aller Tonquellen,
außer des MIC-Eingangs, werden um 16 dB reduziert.
9. CUE: Indem Sie die Kopfhörer an der Buchse
KOPFHÖRER (5) anschließen, können Sie einen oder alle
Kanäle kontrollieren. Drücken Sie die Tasten CUE ASSIGN
(19) für Kanäle 1-4, um den/die zu kontrollierende/n Kanal/
Kanäle auswählen, und deren jeweilige LED-Anzeigen
werden aufleuchten. Betätigen Sie den Regler CUEING
LEVEL (24), um die Mithörlautstärke einzustellen, ohne
dabei die allgemeine Mischung zu beeinträchtigen. Indem
Sie den Regler CUE PGM PAN (22) nach links schieben,
können Sie das zugewiesene Mithörsignal kontrollieren.

usarlo, le recomendamos leer cuidadosamente todas
las instrucciones.
4. En el panel trasero hay 3entradas estereofónicas PHONO/

PRECAUCIONES:

FUNCIONAMIENTO:
1. ENCENDIDO: Una vez que haya efectuado todas las
conexiones de los equipos a su mezclador, oprima el
interruptor de POWER (2) (ENERGÍA). Se encenderá la
unidad así como el DEL de POWER LED (17) (DEL de
ENERGÍA).
En los EE.UU., si Ud tiene problemas con el aparato, por
favor llame al Servicio Post-Venta al 1-732-738-9003. No
devuelva el aparato a la tienda donde lo compró.
2. CANAL 1: El interruptor # (8) le permite seleccionar la

3. No exponga la unidad a la luz solar directa ni a una fuente

5. CANAL 4: El interruptor # (13) le permite seleccionar la entrada
LINE 7 (28) o MIC 2 (4). El CHANNELSLIDE(15)(cursor
corredizo de canal) controla el volumen de salida de este canal.
CONEXIONES:
6. SECCIÓN DE ATENUADOR DE TRANSFERENCIA: El
CROSSFADER (25) permite la mezcla de una fuente con
otra. El lado izquierdo del CROSSFADER (25) corresponde
al canal 2 y el lado derecho al canal 3. El CROSSFADER
(25) de su aparato es removible y, en caso de necesidad, su
reemplazo es fácil. Se ofrecen unidades de atenuador de
transferencia de tres tamaños. La RG-45 PRO (RAIL
GLIDETM) Dual-Rail Crossfader. Estos crossfaders
contienen dos rieles internos de acero inoxidable que
permiten al deslizador de moverse sin problema y con
precisión de una extremidad a otra. También disponible
está nuestro Cf-45 PRO (PROGLIDE™) Dual-Rail
1. Antes de conectar el 15V AC Adapter (1), cerciórese de
que el interruptor de POWER (2) (ENERGÍA) esté en la

2. El aparato PMX-1100 está dotado de 2 series de jacks de

7. SECCIÓN DE CONTROL DE LA SALIDA: El volumen de
MASTER OUT (31) (salida del amplificador) se controla por
el cursor corredizo MASTER (23) (principal). Los mandos
principales TREBLE (20) y BASS (21) le permiten ajustar la
salida de los canales 1-4.
NOTA: EL RECORD OUT (27) NO TIENE CONTROL DE
VOLUMEN. EL VOLUMEN SE ARREGLA POR LOS
CURSORES CORREDIZOS DE LOS CANALES.
8. SECCIÓN TALKOVER: El propósito de la sección talkover
es de permitir al programa de ponerse sordina para que se
pueda oír el mensaje del micrófono por encima de la música.
El interruptor MIC 1/TALKOVER (6) manda MIC 1, y tiene tres
arreglos. Cuando el interruptor MIC 1/TALKOVER (6) ocupa
la posición inferior, el MIC 1 y la función talkover están ambos
apagados. Cuando el interruptor MIC 1/TALKOVER (6) ocupa
la posición central, el MIC 1 están activados, el INDICADOR
MIC (7) se prenderá pero la función talkover está apagada.
Cuando el interruptor MIC 1/TALKOVER (6) ocupa la posición
superior, el MIC 1 y la función talkover estarán prendidos y el
volumen de todas las fuentes salvo las entradas Mic serán
reducidas por 16 dB.
9. SECCIÓN CUE: Conectandolosaudífonosaljackde

3. L’entrée MIC 1 (3) (retrouvée sur le panneau avant)
accepte un connecteur de pouce ou XLR. L’entrée MIC 2
(4) (retrouvée sur le panneau arrière) accepte un
connecteur de 1/4 de pouce. Elles acceptent toutes des
microphones équilibrés et non équilibrés.
INTRODUCTION:
Nos félicitations à l’occasion de votre achat du mélangeur
PMX-1100 de Gemini. Ce mélangeur très moderne est
accompagné d’une garantie de trois ans, à l’exclusion du
crossfader et des curseurs de canal. Avant de vous en
servir, lisez attentivement toutes les instructions ci-après.
4. Sur le panneau arrière, 3 entrées stéréo PHONO/LINE (29,
32, 35) et 4 entrées stéréo LINE (28, 31, 34, 37). Le
PHONO/LINE SWITCH (30) (commutateur phono/ligne)
vous permet de régler l’entrée (29) sur Phono ou Ligne. Le
PHONO/LINE SWITCH (33) vous permet de régler l’entrée
(32) sur Phono ou Ligne. Le PHONO/LINE SWITCH (36)
vous permet de régler l’entrée (35) sur Phono ou Ligne. Les
entrées phono n’acceptent que des tables tournantes avec
cartouche magnétique. Une GROUND SCREW (38) (vis de
terre) pour la mise à la masse des tables tournantes est
située sur le panneau arrière. Les entrées de ligne stéréo
accepteront n’importe quelle entrée de ligne telle que CD
player, cassette player, etc.

MISES EN GARDE:
1. Toutes les instructions de fonctionnement doivent être lues
avant de vous servir de cet appareil.
5. Les écouteurs peuvent être branchés au jack HEADPHONE
(5) que l’on retrouve sur le panneau avant.
2. Pour réduire le risque de commotion électrique, n’ouvrez pas
l’appareil. Il ne contient AUCUNE PIÈCE À REMPLACER
PAR L’UTILISATEUR. La solution de problèmes doit être
confiée à un technicien qualifié.
FONCTIONNEMENT:
1. POWER ON (MISE SOUS TENSION): Dès que tous les
branchements sont effectués à votre mélangeur, appuyez
sur le POWER SWITCH (2) (touche de mise sous
tension). L’appareil se mettra sous tension et la
POWER LED (17) s’allumera.
3. N’exposez pas cet appareil aux rayons directs du soleil; ne
l’exposez non plus à une source de chaleur (p.e. radiateur,
poêle).
2. CANAL 1: Le commutateur # (8) vous permet de choisir
l’entrée PHONO 1/LINE 2 (35) ou LINE 1 (37). Le CHANNEL
SLIDE (9) (curseur de canal) commande la sortie de ce
canal.
Aux États-Unis, si vous cet appareil vous donne des
problèmes, appelez le Service Après-Vente au
1-732-738-9003. Ne renvoyez pas l’appareil au détaillant.
4. Cet appareil ne doit être nettoyé qu’avec un chiffon humide.
N’utilisez pas de solvants ou d’autre produits de nettoyage.
3. CANAL 2: Le commutateur # (10) vous permet de choisir
l’entrée PHONO2/LINE 4 (32) ou LINE 3 (34). Le CHANNEL
SLIDE (11) (curseur de canal) commande la sortie de ce
canal.
5. Lorsque vous déplacez cet appareil, il doit être placé dans
son emballage et carton d’origine. Ceci réduira le risque
d’endommagement durant le transit.
4. CANAL 3: Le commutateur # (12) vous permet de choisir
l’entrée PHONO 3/LINE 6 (29) ou LINE 5 (31). Le CHANNEL
SLIDE (13) (curseur de canal) commande la sortie de ce
canal.
6. PROTÉGEZ CET APPAREIL CONTRE LA PLUIE OU
L’HUMIDITÉ.
7. N’APPLIQUEZ AUCUN PRODUIT DE NETTOYAGE OU DE
LUBRIFICATION PULVERISÉ SUR LES COMMANDES OU
LES INTERRUPTEURS ET COMMUTATEURS.
5. CANAL 4: Le commutateur # (14) vous permet de choisir
l’entrée LINE 7 (28) ou MIC 2 (4). Le CHANNEL SLIDE
(14) (curseur de canal) commande la sortie de ce canal.
CONNEXIONS:
6. SECTION CROSSFADER: Le CROSSFADER (25) permet
le mélange d’une source avec une autre Le côté gauche du
CROSSFADER (25) est la voie 2 et le côté droit est la voie
3. Le CROSSFADER (16) de votre appareil est amovible et
s’il le faut, il est facilement remplacé. Des appareils
crossfader sont disponibles en trois genres. La RG-45 PRO
(RAIL GLIDETM) Dual-Rail Crossfader. Ces crossfaders
comportent à l’intérieur deux voies en inox qui permettent
au coulisseur de se déplacer aisément et avec précision
d’une extrémité à l’autre. En outre disponible est notre Cf-
45 PRO (PROGLIDE™) Dual-Rail Crossfader. Dispositifs
uniques de ce crossfader, technologie en plastique
1. Avant de brancher le 15VACAdapter(1), assurez-vous que
le commutateur POWER (2) (puissance) doit occuper la
position OFF (hors tension). La POWER LED (17) (DEL de
puissance) sera éteinte.
2. L’appareil PMX-1100 comporte 2 jeux de jacks de sortie
d’amplificateur. Les jacks MAIN OUTPUT (26) (sortie
amplificateur) ne sont pas équilibrés et s’utilisent pour
brancher l’amplificateur principal. Les jacks REC OUTPUT
(27) (sortie enregistrement) servent à brancher le mélangeur
à l’entrée d’enregistrement de votre enregistreur ce qui vous
permet d’enregistrer votre mélange.

8. SECTION “TALKOVER”: Le propos de cette section est
de permettre au programme en marche d’être assourdi de
sorte que le message transmis par le micro puisse être
entendu par-dessus la musique. Le MIC 1/TALKOVER
SWITCH (6) commande MIC 1, et comporte trois réglages.
Lorsque le MIC 1/TALKOVER SWITCH (6) occupe la
position de fond, le MIC 1 et la fonction talkover sont au
repos. Lorsque le MIC 1/TALKOVER SWITCH (6) occupe
la position centrale, le MIC 1 est sous tension, le MIC
INDICATOR (7) s’allumera mais la fonction talkover est au
repos. Lorsque le MIC 1/TALKOVER SWITCH (6) occupe
la position supérieure, le MIC 1 et la fonction talkover seront
activés et le volume de toutes les sources, sauf les entrées
mic, sera réduit de 16 dB. Le MIC LEVEL (16) commande
le volume du MIC 1.
9. SECTION CUE: En connectant les écouteurs au jack
HEADPHONE(5), vouspouvezsurveillern’importelequeloutous
les canaux. Appuyez sur les touches CUE ASSIGN (19) pour les
canaux 1-4 pour choisir le canal ou les canaux à surveiller et leurs
indicateurs DEL respectifs s’allumeront. Utilisez la commande
CUELEVEL(24) pourajusterlevolumecuesansaffecterle
mélangeglobal. Endéplaçantlacommande CUEPGMPAN(22)
àgauche, vouspourrezsurveiller le signal cue assigné.
