Led PCB replacement:
C a refully begin to remove the grill. Do

not fully remove the grill a s the c a ble
is still firmly a tta c hed to the led PC B
a ssembly. A fla t hea d sc rewdriver ma y
a id in loosening the grill from the c a binet.
Five sc rews need to be removed from
ea c h side of the grill using the phillips
hea d sc rewdriver (ten sc rews in a ll).

6 to 1. Power up the SA1232z a nd the led
should light up. C ongra tula tions, you just
repla c ed a n led PC B a ssembly...now go
pla y some shows!

Bottom woofer replacement:
Follow steps 1-4 of the led PC B

a round the edge with your free ha nd.
Caution: The woofer is a pproxima tely
14 pounds with the weight unevenly
distributed.

The positive (solid yellow) a nd nega tive
(solid bla c k) c a bles a re still a tta c hed to
the woofer termina ls. Remove the c a bles
from their termina ls simply by pushing
down on the termina l a nd pulling out the
c a ble.

the SA1232z looks like with the grill a nd
bottom woofer removed . Pla c e the
new woofer (pa rt #0013920) where the
old one wa s. Follow the sa me steps a s
a bove, but ba c kwa rds 5 to 1, ma king
sure to keep the led PC B a ssembly c a ble
in front of the woofer. Power up the
SA1232z a nd the new woofer should now
be pumping out glorious lows. Awesome,
you just repla c ed a 12” woofer!

driver should now be pumping out those
highs a ga in. Fa nta stic , you just repla c ed
a high frequenc y driver!

The high frequenc y driver should ea sily

Diaphragm replacement:
At the present time (Dec ember 2006),
dia phra gms a re not c urrently a va ila ble,
so you will ha ve to repla c e the c omplete
driver following the previous sec tion
(pa ges 9-12). If you ha ve rec eived a
dia phra gm, plea se follow the steps
below.

Pull out
The mid frequenc y driver c over pla te
should ea sily lift right off of the horn.
Holding down the horn a ssembly
with one ha nd while lifting up on the
c over pla te with the other ha nd ma y
help. The positive (solid green) a nd
nega tive (green a nd bla c k) c a bles
a re still a tta c hed to the mid frequenc y
driver c over pla te termina ls. Remove
the c a bles from the termina ls simply by
pulling on the end of ea c h c a ble. Do not
forc e c a ble remova l, a lthough needle-
nose pliers ma y a id in tightly c rimped
c a bles.

C ontra ry to wha t the pic ture shows, the
sc rews a re a c tua lly a bout 2 3/4” down
from the top of the horn a ssembly. Also
note tha t the sc rews ma y be tighter tha n
usua l. Plea se DO NOT a dd WD-40 or a ny
other lubric a nt to help loosen the sc rews.

The mid frequenc y driver ea sily lifts right
off of the horn. Repla c e with the new
driver (pa rt #0013897) a nd follow the
sa me steps a s a bove, but ba c kwa rds 7
to 1. Power up the SA1232z a nd the new
driver should now be pumping out those
mids a ga in. Right on, you just repla c ed a
mid frequenc y driver!

Ma ke sure to get a round the entire c over
pla te in order to be a ble to remove
them.

from the a mplifier a ssembly using the
phillips hea d sc rewdriver. The a mplifier
a ssembly is c a pped by two c over pla tes
outlined a bove.

be sepa ra ted from the c a binet. Do not
c ompletely ta ke the a mplifier a ssembly
off yet, a s seven c a bles need to be
removed first (a s shown a bove):
(1) led PC B c a ble, (2) solid yellow,
(3) solid bla c k, (4) blue a nd bla c k,
(5) solid blue, (6) green a nd bla c k, a nd
(7) solid green. Do not forc e c a ble
remova l or c onnec tion, a lthough
needle-nose pliers ma y a id in loosening
the c rimped c a bles.

a pproxima tely 23 pounds, so plea se
ma ke sure to gra sp it firmly.

a ssembly. Power up the SA1232z a nd
relish in the fa c t tha t you just repla c ed
a n a mplifier a ssembly. Ha ts off to you for
a job well done!
Important: The fa ulty a mplifier
a ssembly must be returned to LOUD
Tec hnologies. The a ddress should
be on the return shipping la bel tha t
wa s provided with the new a mplifier
a ssembly. If not, the return a ddress is a t
the top of this pa ge. Also, plea se write
the order number a nd servic e request
number (ex: 1046256-1203935) in big,
bla c k, bold numbers on the outside of
the box. This helps expedite the return.
