Several options are available during DVD playback.  
The DVD Changer holds 5 discs and provides full random play with fast disc changes.  
Exchanging Discs  
Stopping Playback  
1.Press the STOP button in playback.  
Exchange allows you to change up to 4 discs  
except the currently selected disc.  
Removing Disc  
Press the EXCHANGE button on the front of  
1.the player when in the play mode. The tray  
opens with two slots available for you to load or  
change discs.

- Each time the STEP button is pressed, a new frame will

the other two slots. Load or change the third  
and fourth discs.  
- To change all the discs, first press the STOP button, then

- Press PLAY/PAUSE to resume normal playback.  
(It is only possible to go from one frame to the other in  
forward mode.)

Slow Motion Playback (Except CD)  
5.Press the FWD or REV SEARCH button on the remote or  
turn the SHUTTLE dial on the front of the player during  
PAUSE or STEP mode.  
- By pressing or shuttling, you can select slow motion  
playback for 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8 of normal speed.  
- No sound is heard during slow mode.  
Using the DISC SKIP function  
Use the Disc Skip function to change to another  
of the discs currently in the disc platter.  
- Press PLAY/PAUSE to resume normal playback.  
- When playing a VCD, the reverse slow motion playback  
will not work.  
While in play or stop mode, press the DISC  
A.SKIP button. The platter turns clockwise to the  
next available disc.  
Or while in play or stop mode, press the  
B.desired number of the DISC SELECT buttons  
on the front of the unit to play back the disc in  
the desired number's slot.  
RESUME function  
When you stop disc play, the player remembers where you stopped, so when you press PLAY again, it will pick up where you left off (unless the  
disc is removed, the STOP button is pressed twice or the player is unplugged).  
- Empty disc slots are automatically skipped during disc skip.  
• If the player is left for 5 minutes in pause mode, it will stop.  
• The power is automatically turned off after approximately 30 minutes have elapsed in the stop mode (auto power-off feature).  
• If the player is left in the stop mode for more than one minute without any user interaction, a screensaver will be activated, and the  
TV screen will fade in and fade out repeatedly. Press PLAY button to resume normal play.

During playback, you can search quickly through a chapter or track or use the skip function to jump to the  
next selection.  
If you want to display the disc, title, chapter, time, audio and subtitle information on a DVD, press the DIS-  
PLAY button. If you want to display the track and time information on a VCD or CD, press the DISPLAY button.

on an audio CD).

A DVD may contain several differ-  
ent titles. : for example, if a disc  
contains four different movies,  
each might be considered a title.  
• While in search (8X/16X/32X) on DVD or high-speed playback on VCD, no sound will be heard.  
• Though 2X SCAN AUDIO is ON in SETUP MENU, no sound will be heard on discs which are recorded with LPCM, DTS or MPEG-2.  
• Depending on the disc, audio may not be heard when a disc is in 2X playback mode.

Repeat Play  
Using the A-B Repeat Function  
Repeat the current track, chapter, title or all the discs.  
The A-B Repeat function lets you mark a section to repeat between the beginning (A) and the end (B) of the  
section you want to review.  
To repeat a Title, Chapter (or Track)  
To set up A-B Repeat  
While a disc is playing, press the REPEAT but-

Program Playback in a Specific Order  
Using the Disc View Function  
Program playback lets you set up a specific order for playback of titles, chapters or tracks on a disc only. This func-  
tion works in stop mode only.  
The desired music or video display can be accessed directly without using the menu function.

rating override feature included. When you play a disc with this feature, the mes-  
sage, “Your selection exceeds the rating level for this player. Override the level?” is  
displayed. Select “Override” or “Cancel.If you choose to override the rating level,  
you will need to enter your 4-digit password to begin playback.

Press power on from a cold start with no disc in the unit. Press the STOP and

the SETUP button on the remote control to select the Parental Mode. The  
Parental Mode is now unlocked as indicated on the display. Press the DOWN but-  
ton to select Parental. Press ENTER and the Password Check display will appear.  
Enter the default password of “7777”.You can now set your rating level and  
change your password to a new number.

Controlling a TV with the Remote  
Troubleshooting Guide  
The remote can also be set up to control most TVs. To program the remote, use the code that corresponds to  
your brand.  
Proper function of your DVD player is mostly dependent on the discs you play. When some of the functions  
indicated in the I/B do not work properly, it is highly probable that the disc is responsible. We strongly  
recommend you review the instruction book before you start using the player. For your convenience, we  
have enlisted some tips to help solve problems you might encounter while using the DVD player.  
However, if the same problem occurs repeatedly, please contact your nearest service center.
