Encoding
Finalising
A writing process of disc information such that the programmes recorded on the DVD-R
and DVD-RW discs can be played back on other players.
Optimises the overall bit rate for recording. Scenes with rapid movement are recorded with
high bit rates, while scenes with slow movement are recorded with low bit rates, thereby
resulting in better picture quality.
Intelligent Dual-Pass Encoding
JPEG

compressed still image data files. The data of the 3 primary colours (RGB) is compressed
from a ratio of 10:1 to 100:1.

interlace. The system that displays all the scanning lines at one time is known as progressive
scan, and this mode enables high image quality playback of DVD Video movie softwares.
Progressive scan mode

Which discs are unplayable?
The time of the clock seems to deviate.
Can I use cartridge-enclosed DVD-RAMs?
See AClock SettingB [

Can I record simultaneously on the HDD and DVD?
Can I replace the HDD on my own?
No. This unit is equipped with only one tuner. It is not possible
to record simultaneously on two or more decks.

My television is not equipped with video inputs, is
there other methods of connection?
It will not be erased. Recording will stop.
Use an RF converter sold separately. For details on connection,
refer to the instruction manual of the RF converter.
Can I switch the channel while recording is paused?
Yes, on the DVD deck. However, it is not possible to switch to
DV input. Switching is not possible during DV input recording.
Setup
Cannot activate pause while HDD is recording.
The HDD is functioning although the unit is not on.
Unable to pause recording on the HDD. If PAUSE is pressed
